“Learning Communities allow those who integrate them to work together for shared goals, defining the objectives with the participation of all members. To achieve this, it is essential to promote a critical, egalitarian, and very reflective dialogue, where the contribution of people from different groups and with cultural differences is promoted,” said Rebeca Chavarría, educator and general director of the Bright Spot Learning Center. This critical reflection allows you to assess your ability to be a self-directed learner by enabling you to self-assess your contributions to your learning and the learning of your classmates. Learning to self-assess is an essential part of being a lifelong self-directed learner.

 

During class 5305, Disruptive Innovation

These five weeks have been hectic and nervous. I have researched, written, and read a lot during this time. When I remember it, I am achieving it; all this effort has been worth it, and I am enriching my knowledge and vocabulary. It could be authenticity. I love this more than the essays I was assigned. It is the beginning of my learning at this stage of my studies.

 

 

During class 5303, E-portfolio

Technology has allowed me to learn the value, use, and progress when making my portfolio; creating my portfolio has been a challenge; I've spent weeks researching, exploring, designing, and redesigning to understand it and give it the shape I want.

 

  • The changes are constant. For me, it is the first time that I have created an e-portfolio. I was very nervous, but I liked it; This has been an enriching experience because I have acquired much knowledge and intend to perfect it.

  • I check emails daily to stay informed and share information with my colleagues.

  • We contacted Zoom, where we discussed some readings and clarified doubts.

  • Complete all course readings, videos, and supporting resources.

  • Make the corrections that the teacher sent me.

  • He made comments on the topics seen by my colleagues.

  • I have attended all the classes.

 

Course Suggestions

  • I have submitted all my evaluations on time for classes 5303 and 5305.

  • Reply to all comments in discussions.

  • I have learned and shared with my classmates about using technology in blended learning.

 

Support contribution

  • We form a group with constant communication, where there is mutual support, and decisions are made together.

  • During these eight weeks, through Zoom, we meet where we clarify doubts.

  • Productive discussions were generated, which is very important. Reviewing the work of my colleagues, I highly valued their skills and commented and accepted the opinions expressed about my work.

  • We discuss the docs on how to use citations using the APA standard.

  • I shared the links we use in meetings.

  • Estefanía took photos, as in all meetings

  • Adriana shared the Zoom link every week

  • Ileana created an agenda for the weekly meetings.

  • Our WhatsApp group was active, saying we help each other with questions.

  • We share experiences and knowledge about our teaching skills daily in the classroom.

 

Areas to improve

  • Begin the first week with the reading, highlighting the most essential parts of the reading.

  • Begin to become more familiar with technology and improve my electronic portfolio.

  • Work more on APA standards.
